Scotsman.com News - US leader crashed by trying to ‘pedal, wave and speak at same time’

The official police incident report states: “[The unit] was requested to cover the road junction on the Auchterarder to Braco Road as the President of the USA, George Bush, was cycling through.” The report goes on: “[At] about 1800 hours the President approached the junction at speed on the bicycle. The road was damp at the time. As the President passed the junction at speed he raised his left arm from the handlebars to wave to the police officers present while shouting ‘thanks, you guys, for coming’.
“As he did this he lost control of the cycle, falling to the ground, causing both himself and his bicycle to strike [the officer] on the lower legs. [The officer] fell to the ground, striking his head. The President continued along the ground for approximately five metres, causing himself a number of abrasions. The officers… then assisted both injured parties.”

Now, I broke my neck taking a header off a stage - but at least I wasn’t talking at the time…. I was doing an aerial cartwheel…

Our president…. the Jesting Stock of the World…

QAEDA CLAIM: WE ‘INFILTRATED’ UAE GOV’T
By NILES LATHEM WASHINGTON — Al Qaeda warned the government of the United Arab Emirates more than three years ago that it “infiltrated” key government agencies, according to a disturbing document released by the U.S. military.

The warning was contained in a June 2002 message to UAE rulers, in which the terror network demanded the release of an unknown number of “mujahedeen detainees,” who it said had been arrested during a government crackdown in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

The explosive document is certain to become ammunition for critics of the controversial UAE port deal, who fear the Dubai-based firm could be used by terrorists to sneak money and personnel into the United States.

Little is known about the origins or authorship of the message. “You are well aware that we have infiltrated your security, censorship and monetary agencies, along with other agencies that should not be mentioned,” the message said.

“Therefore, we warn of the continuation of practicing . . . policies which do not serve your interest and will only cost you many problems that will place you in an embarrassing state before your citizens.

“Your homeland is exposed to us. There are many vital interests that will hurt you if we decided to harm them.” And Bush, Cheney, et al don’tunderstand why permitting DPW tooperate 21 of our ports is not very bright. Oh,yes, I heard the American puppet VP of DPW say that Senior P&O Management would remain, and that there “were no plans to import UAE personnel”. Telling us, the AMerican people not to be concerned with security, after telling us to be security minded…. is …. welll… draw your own conclusions.

A War of Words: ‘Declare’ vs. ‘Make’ and Its Allies

Section 8 - Powers of Congress

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

This follows the congress’s Power to define Piracy issue Letters of Marque and Reprisal and other items

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

Mr. Yoo is not correct when he asserts the Congress does not have the Power to Declare Ware, and that it is the President who does that. Tyrants do that. Not Americans.

Real-life drama for Guantanamo film stars - World - smh.com.au
By Vikram Dodd in LondonFebruary 22, 2006

FOUR actors who play al-Qaeda suspects in an award-winning British film were detained by police at London-Luton airport on their return from the Berlin Film Festival and questioned under anti-terrorism laws. Also interviewed were two of the former terrorism suspects they play on screen.

The men were returning to Britain last Thursday after the premiere of the film The Road to Guantanamo. It depicts the life of three men from Tipton, in England’s West Midlands, who go to Afghanistan and end up being held for two years by the US at its military base in Cuba before being released without charge.

Ah, once again, we actors fall under the Cloud of Errantry. We are once again Rogues, Vagabonds and Sturdy Beggars. Masterless men and women to be singled out for our Trade.

It’s afucking MOVIE! I suppose if a Brit were playing a neo-nazi, they wouldn’t be detained and ask if they were s ympathetic to National Socialism….
