Ahmadinejad challenges Bush to TV debate - Yahoo! News
EHRAN (Reuters) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad voiced defiance on Tuesday as a deadline neared for
Iran to halt work the West fears is a step toward building nuclear bombs, and challenged
President Bush to a televised debate.

this is the CRUX of the matter:

“Peaceful nuclear energy is the right of the Iranian nation. The Iranian nation has chosen that based upon international regulations, it wants to use it and no one can stop it,” he told a news conference.

My dad worked on Project Plowshare, which the the Gov’t’s program for peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Unfortunately, Pres. InfidelIWantYouDead has repeatedly talked about conflict.

UCLA to Protect Animal Research - Los Angeles Times
The acting chancellor says the university will defend against ‘domestic terrorism’ directed at faculty engaged in scientific studies.
By Rebecca Trounson and Joe Mozingo, Times Staff Writers
August 26, 2006

After an attempted firebombing near the home of one UCLA researcher and repeated harassment that pushed another professor to halt his primate research, UCLA’s acting chancellor said Friday that he was taking steps to protect the university and its faculty from extremists in the animal rights movement.

Norman Abrams, who became acting chancellor July 1, said animal rights activists in recent months have mounted what he called an escalating campaign against UCLA professors, researchers and their families.

“These activities have risen to the level of domestic terrorism, and that’s what we should call them,” Abrams said in an interview Friday, as he announced a series of actions, including plans for stepped-up security at faculty homes.

I agree. and we should also label those that bomb clinics Domestic Terrorists and charge thier ass under the Patriot Act. After all, these are the folks that support TWOT (twat)

also: Another UCLA researcher has thrown in the towel after the above incident occurres

See, these “animal liberationists” really don’t care about the animals they are liberating. if they did, they just wouldn’t loose them from their cages to to run. They wiould take them and care for them. But no, open the door.. “Be Free! be free!!!” and more than likely, they are forced like their cages to ‘freedom”. a Freedom of starvation and worse….

1-800-SUICIDE has provided hope to almost 2 million callers - and now needs our help

With your help and support we have been able to put real pressure on the federal governement for the funds they already owe the hotline from 2004, raised awareness of the issue, and kept the line from being shut off last friday (raised over $10,000 for this two week extension!)

You have helped us raise $20,000 this past week of the $66,000 needed to keep the line running. (All because the gov never paid the $266,000 they promised us - see www.save1800suicide.org

We still need to raise $46,000 by friday to keep the hotline from being shut off! While this is a lot of money… we have a lot of friends on MySpace that can help as well as spread the word to their friends… We can do this!!!

If everyone chips in a single dollar and passes this along… we will be saved in no time!!!

Think of this as a good ol’ fashion candy bar sale - Tell your friends “skip a candy bar - and help keep the line Suicide Hotline Private, Confidential and Running!”

The Suicide Hotline is a 501c3 tax deductible non-profit organization. Please only give directly through the official website www.save1800suicide.org/donate

Thanks for all of your help and continued support -

Lieberman Sets Sights on Independent Candidacy

HARTFORD, Conn., Aug. 8 — In a stark repudiation, Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn.) narrowly lost the Democratic Senate primary here Tuesday night, falling to antiwar candidate Ned Lamont in a campaign that became a referendum on the incumbent’s support for the Iraq war.

Lieberman publicly conceded the primary shortly after 11 p.m., after a congratulatory call to Lamont. But he appeared almost exuberant in defeat, telling supporters at a hotel in Hartford that he planned to run as an independent in November and predicting that he would be returned to the Senate for a fourth term.

Wired News: Giant Robot Imprisons Parked Cars
The robot that parks cars at the Garden Street Garage in Hoboken, New Jersey, trapped hundreds of its wards last week for several days. But it wasn’t the technology car owners had to curse, it was the terms of a software license.

The garage is owned by the city; the software, by Robotic Parking of Clearwater, Florida.

Guess the program got enturbulated.

In the course of a contract dispute, the city of Hoboken had police escort the Robotic employees from the premises just a few days before the contract between both parties was set to expire. What the city didn’t understand or perhaps concern itself with, is that they sent the company packing with its manuals and the intellectual property rights to the software that made the giant robotic parking structure work.

Guess the City needs to CLEAR and stop beingso other-determined….

“You won the Lottery?”

“Nope.”

“You discovered the wreck of Jason’s ship Argos?”

“Uh, uh…”

“Then I give up”

“I didn’t, and I won.”

With all the shit I have been through over the past few years, I have not simply survived it, I have overcome it. Sure, a couple of issues have yet to settle out, but I am intact Soul-wise. Spirit-wise. I have been through, quite literally Fire and Ice and am now tempered as though my Soul and Spirit are now Damascus Steel.

Unlike those undeserving sluggards, the abraham men and mad maudlins, who, with assistance, have learend to game the system, to take from those who truly need it… Those whose problems are petty when placed in the context of “Need”.

Back in 1983, I believe, I took part in a Ritual overseen by the Late HymenÆus Alpha. I was initiated in aThree Person Order. Three of us became Knight Companions to the Holy Graal. When it came my turn to state the Nature of My Quest, I replied

“To Replace Faith with Knowlege.”

I have made much progress since then. I think Niall Bon Couer and Louis would be proud of my progress. Niall is with me, in my heart. and recently appeared to me in Dream.

My ethics are intact. Despite being advised to abandon them in oh, so subtle ways. I have achieved success. It’s true what they say about making it in NYC:

“If you can make it there…” and it’s not just about making it in business. The phrase is more about Life. This place is CRUSHING. Perhaps, it is because the first thing I ever tasted was blood. quite literally, blood - the doctors nearly killed both my mother and me. or, because I came into the World wanting to show everyone my ass.

This place is CRUSHING. Life can be CRUSHING

IF YOU PERMIT IT TO.

Remember the reports of Katrina evacuees being prevented from crossing a bridge to safety by the POE-LEECE? Read on, MacDuff:

NEW ORLEANS — A grand jury will investigate last year’s blockade of a Mississippi River bridge by armed police officers who turned back Hurricane Katrina evacuees trying to flee New Orleans.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Eddie Jordan declined to reveal any details of the investigation on Thursday.

The grand jury will not begin the investigation next week, but it will start soon, said Leatrice Dupre, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.

Several hundred evacuees claimed that police from suburban Gretna blocked them as they tried to flee New Orleans for safety on Sept. 1.

Many of the evacuees, who had been stranded at the New Orleans convention center without food and water, said they were told to cross the bridge to be evacuated from the city. But Gretna police confronted them on the bridge and forced them to turn around.
