“Republicans suspect that there are people that work at CNN, particularly in its foreign operations, who don’t like the United States, and I am telling you they are absolutely right. I have met them.

On the other hand, let’s take a deep breath and look at the video in question. Anybody — any American anyway — who watches this video comes away with one thought. This is repulsive. As you hear a man yell ‘God is great’ as he murders an American it makes you less sympathetic to the insurgency, not more sympathetic.

So yes, this is an enemy propaganda film, and CNN says as much in introducing it. But it’s an enemy propaganda film that does not work in this country. It makes you hate the insurgency.

So while I understand the reflexive reaction for conservatives to CNN, which is a pretty liberal network, in this case they are misguided. CNN has done us all a service. CNN has spent a lot of money covering this war in Iraq, unlike a lot of other people. Good for CNN. In this case, CNN is right.”

The Coming Gay Republican Purge
Immediately after the Mark Foley scandal broke, some anti-Republican gay-rights activists composed a memo containing the names of closeted gay Republican Congressional staffers and sent it to leading Christian-right advocacy groups. The founder and chairman of one of those groups, the Rev. Don Wildmon of the American Family Association, told me he has received that memo, which he referred to simply as “The List.” Based on The List’s contents, Wildmon is convinced that a secretive gay “clique” boring within the Republican-controlled Congress is responsible for covering up Foley’s sexual predation toward teenage male House pages. Moreover, Wildmon calls on the Republican Party leadership to promptly purge the “subversive” gay staffers.

They have a “Little List” .. How much you want to bet that it contains the names of every GOP ocngresscritter who opposes the AFA, FotF and other “Christian Values” Organizations…

Bloomberg.com: Worldwide
Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) — Adam Gadahn, a U.S.-born member of the al-Qaeda terrorist group, was indicted on a treason charge by a federal grand jury in Santa Ana, California.

Gadahn, whose last known address was in Orange County, California, is considered a fugitive and is believed to be living in Pakistan, the Justice Department said. He is the first American to be charged with treason since the World War II era, the department said.

“A charge of treason is exceptionally severe and it is not one we bring lightly,'’ said Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty at a news conference in Washington. “But this is the right case for this charge.'’

and, I agree. This indivivual, more so than John Walker is a traitor, and deserves to be treated as such. While Walker, “The American Taliban” was bearing arms, it was specifically against the United States. BIG DIFFERENCE.

At last… evidence that smoking pot does NOT kill braincells:

Marijuana may help stave off Alzheimer’s - Alzheimer’s Disease - MSNBC.com
WASHINGTON - Good news for aging hippies: smoking pot may stave off Alzheimer’s disease.

New research shows that the active ingredient in marijuana may prevent the progression of the disease by preserving levels of an important neurotransmitter that allows the brain to function.

Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in California found that marijuana’s active ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, can prevent the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from breaking down more effectively than commercially marketed drugs.

FOX MOVIE: ‘MAY BUSH DRINK BLOOD OF EVERY MAN, WOMAN, CHILD IN IRAQ’

All systems go for controversy, and the release of FOX fuss film ‘Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan’ — a film which features a comic announcing to an outraged Virginia rodeo: ‘May George W. Bush drink the blood of every man, woman and child in Iraq!’

VARIETY calls the film, set for wide release November 3rd, “uproariously funny.”

Borat Sagdiyev, Kazakhstan’s leading journalist from the State run TV network, travels from his home in Kazakhstan to the U.S. to make a documentary. On his cross-country road-trip, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.

“‘Borat’ should make abundant B.O. benefit for FOX,” predicts the trade.

The studio is said to be 100% supportive of the mockumentary, a top source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.

While Borat become the next American to be held as an “enemy combatant”? Stay tuned…
