Robin Hayes says we will win in Iraq by “spreading the message of Jesus Christ” there. | BlueNC
Robin Hayes has the solution to the Iraq war: have our soldiers convert all Muslims to Christianity.

Our local weekly newspaper the “Concord Standard and Mount Pleasant Times” reported on Mr. Hayes speech in his hometown:

First there’s the usual talk of how we’re “winning” over there:
“The war in Iraq has got to be won; it’s being won”
(A couple of months ago Hayes said that the rise in violence in Iraq was an indication that we’re winning.)

Then comes the real kicker:
“Stability in Iraq ultimately depends on spreading the message of Jesus Christ, the message of peace on earth, good will towards men. Everything depends on everyone learning about the birth of the Savior.”

and to think dubyapaloozer was real careful like to NOT use the word ‘crusade’… what an absolute menace to civilization this nutjob is

President Thanks House and Senate for Reauthorizing the Ryan White CARE Act
President Thanks House and Senate for Reauthorizing the Ryan White CARE Act

In 1990, Congress passed the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act to advance our domestic battle against HIV/AIDS. This landmark legislation has provided Americans in need with better access to medical care, antiretroviral treatments, and counseling and has helped them live longer lives. The Act also supports HIV testing to prevent the further spread of this devastating disease.

Laura and I thank the House and Senate for reauthorizing the Ryan White CARE Act. This legislation focuses on life-saving and life-extending services and increased accountability, and will provide more flexibility to the Secretary of Health and Human Services to direct funding to areas of greatest need. The Ryan White Care Act demonstrates the compassionate and generous spirit of America, and I look forward to signing this important legislation into law.

See, Mr. President? The World did not come to an end.

BREITBART.COM20-20Bush20Accepts20Boltons20U.N.20Resignation

Unable to win Senate confirmation, U.N. Ambassador John Bolton will step down when his temporary appointment expires within weeks, the White House said Monday.

Bolton’s nomination has languished in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for more than a year, blocked by Democrats and several Republicans. Sen. Lincoln Chafee, a moderate Republican who lost in the midterm elections Nov. 7 that swept Democrats to power in both houses of Congress, was adamantly opposed to Bolton.

Critics have questioned Bolton’s brusque style and whether he could be an effective public servant who could help bring reform to the U.N.

President Bush, in a statement, said he was “deeply disappointed that a handful of United States senators prevented Ambassador Bolton from receiving the up or down vote he deserved in the Senate.”

awww… boo fuckinghoo… baby didn’t get his way for one (thank god)

“They chose to obstruct his confirmation, even though he enjoys majority support in the Senate, and even though their tactics will disrupt our diplomatic work at a sensitive and important time,” Bush said. “This stubborn obstructionism ill serves our country, and discourages men and women of talent from serving their nation.”

This last comment is so full of shit. If anything, it discourages untalented men and women from serving.. so, the playground bully goeos home
