The “Conservative” Disdain for The Constitution on Display

I just visited the crackpot forum belonging to The “Free” Republic. And, how did they react to the news of former Dictator-in-Training Bush had secretly subverted the 4th Amendment of the Constitution two weeks after 9/11? This 4th amendment:

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Of course, these numbnuts don’t bother reading that it “The Bush administration eventually abandoned many of the legal conclusions, but the documents themselves had been closely held.” They still live in a “Jack Bauer/24 world”, where the US military turns yellow, and it is up to Jack to save the day the day from evil Africans.
